ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 3, 2023) – Bluedrop USA, a training and simulation company for the U.S. aerospace and defense market, is pleased to announce that its president, Dr. Bret Ulander, has been recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as a Veteran of Influence in the Orlando community. Bluedrop USA is the sister company of Bluedrop Training and Simulation, Inc. of Halifax, Canada, a world leader in advanced training and simulation technologies.
Dr. Ulander is among 18 military veterans recognized by the Orlando Business Journal, all of whom served in the U.S. Armed Forces before making their name in Central Florida’s business community.

Ulander is a retired Naval Aviator with 20 Years of service to the Department of Defense. Since his military retirement, Bret has held multiple positions in the modeling, simulation and training (MST) industry with experience as a program manager, director and senior executive. Bret joined Bluedrop Training and Simulation, Inc. in March of 2019 as vice president business development and subsequently co-founded Bluedrop USA in February 2020 where he continues to serve as president.
Bret has been an active volunteer in the modeling, simulation and training community currently serving as the Chair of the National Training and Simulation (NTSA) Executive Commitee. Bret serves on the National Simulation Center (NCS) Board of Directors and as an advisor in the Central Florida VR/AR Association. Previously, Bret was the founding president of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) First Coast Chapter as well as the vice president of the Central Florida Navy League Council.
